Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated: 2026-05-25
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state privacy laws, California residents and other qualifying consumers have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Her Choice does not sell personal information in the traditional sense. However, our use of cookies and similar technologies for interest-based / behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "share" under the broad definition in California law. We honor opt-out requests in three ways:
1. Browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal
If your browser sends the Sec-GPC: 1 signal (or the equivalent W3C standard), we automatically treat your visit as an opt-out request. No further action required.
Enable GPC:
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → "Tell websites not to sell or share my data"
- Brave: GPC is enabled by default
- DuckDuckGo browser: GPC is enabled by default
- Chrome / Safari / Edge: install the "Global Privacy Control" browser extension
2. Industry opt-out tools
These tools opt you out of interest-based advertising across many ad networks at once:
3. Email request
Send an opt-out email to editor@nexcom.media with subject "Do Not Sell Request." Include:
- Your full name (or pseudonym you wish us to recognize you by)
- Email address you have used on the Service (for verification)
- Optional: a verification statement that the request relates to your own information
We respond within 15 business days (45 days max under CCPA).
What "opt out" means in practice
After opt-out, we and our ad partners will:
- Stop using your information to build behavioral or interest-based ad profiles
- Stop using your information for cross-site / cross-device tracking for advertising
- Continue to serve non-personalized (contextual) advertising on this Service
- Continue to use cookies strictly necessary for the Service to function
Authorized agent requests
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorization, and we may verify your identity directly.
Non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your right to opt out. We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you opted out.
For full details about how we collect, use, and share information, see our Privacy Policy.
