Last updated: 2026-05-25

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state privacy laws, California residents and other qualifying consumers have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Her Choice does not sell personal information in the traditional sense. However, our use of cookies and similar technologies for interest-based / behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "share" under the broad definition in California law. We honor opt-out requests in three ways:

Send an opt-out email to editor@nexcom.media with subject "Do Not Sell Request." Include:

We respond within 15 business days (45 days max under CCPA).

What "opt out" means in practice

After opt-out, we and our ad partners will:

Authorized agent requests

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorization, and we may verify your identity directly.

Non-discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your right to opt out. We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you opted out.
