OUR STATEMENT

Today, Physicians for Reproductive Health is proud to share our Strategic Plan for the next five years, Fiscal Year 2027-2032. Dr. Jamila Perritt, ob/gyn in Washington DC and President & CEO of Physicians for Reproductive Health responds with a statement:

“At this moment for the reproductive health, rights, and justice movements, we need a clear and bold response that clearly prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of our communities as they seek access to care. We, at Physicians for Reproductive Health, are excited to implement this plan that aims to sharpen our advocacy, focus our strategy and grow political power.

“As always, PRH remains committed to ensuring that everyone gets the abortion care they need, whenever they need it. But in the face of the threats from the current Administration, we also know that abortion is not the only aspect of basic bodily autonomy that is under violent threat. From gender-affirming care for transgender people to maternal health care to health care for immigrant community members, we continue to see the ways that access to sexual and reproductive health care is interconnected no matter who you are or where you live. This plan doesn’t just name intersectionality, it makes it one of our guiding strategic priorities. Our liberation is intertwined, and as we fight to protect access to comprehensive care for every person who needs and wants it, PRH’s work will remain grounded in that fact.

“From expanding the political power of our network of physician advocates to organizing our community around a policy and advocacy platform, we’re steadfast in the work PRH is called to do and we’re committed to innovative ways to meet the moment. Over the last 30 years, we’ve trained over 550 physicians through our Leadership Training Academy. We are eager to continue reaching more physician advocates through the LTA while also making it easier for values-aligned physicians across the country to join our efforts to protect and expand access to care.

“PRH’s staff, Board of Directors, and community of physicians are all delighted to bring this Strategic Plan to life over the course of the next five years to get us closer to our vision of a just and equitable world where all people are free to make their own decisions about their bodies, families, and futures.”
