Summer is in full swing, and the calendar reflected it this week. From New York to Los Angeles and beyond, celebrities stepped out for premieres, special events, and a few major sporting moments. Tribeca remained one of the busiest destinations in entertainment, while television, music, and sports each had reasons to celebrate.
Among the highlights, Michelle Buteau, Amber Ruffin, and Amy Aniobi attended the premiere of Survival of the Thickest, while Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Styles P reunited for the debut of Trinity: The Story of The LOX. Carmelo Anthony joined son Kiyan Anthony and Dwyane Wade for the premiere of Born Melo, and Colman Domingo took part in a conversation during Tribeca. A$AP Rocky was also spotted at the festival’s annual Tribeca X Awards.
Television had a strong presence throughout the week as the cast of Power Book III: Raising Kanan celebrated the show’s fifth season in New York. On the West Coast, Gabrielle Union hosted a FIFA World Cup watch party, while Chaka Khan and Chanté Moore attended the Black Women in Music Dinner. Overseas, Lewis Hamilton added another podium finish to his résumé during the Spanish Grand Prix.
